138 I stay. I guess the insane cheat meal this weekend did me no good. Hmm, gonna rethink and adjust again this week. That's what it's all about. Try something new and if it works, DO IT AGAIN. If not, change something.
In at 170.2 and not happy about it. It's been a very stressful week. I go home for a dark week this week though and I'm hoping to get back in the game! My goal is to work out at least four times when I'm home! I need to walk more if I'm ever going to walk 66 miles in the breast cancer walk in November. I'm concerned about my endurance. Can only walk a few miles at this point. Need to really work on that.
hey! don't sweat it. try to remember what you did differently that first week and see if you can replicate it. whatever you did...it worked. your body can do it again. as far as the walking goes, start small. set weekly goals to reach. the last thing you want is to hurt yourself in november. it's time to start training for it NOW.
Long time no log in. Well I've only lost 1 pound, so I'm at 111. I've not been meeting my goals in exercise, but I have with eating better. Frankly, I'm having a hard time finding time to exercise, but I know if you "industry" people are finding time than I should be able to squeeze in the time. I've been eating better foods, and more often. I've been snacking on healthier foods (which for me is a minor miracle seeing how I love to snack on chocolate things), and bringing my lunch/dinner to work/school as often as I can.
One pound is great! A normal rate of weightloss is 1 or 2 lbs per week, so don't stress about that. Better foods more often is key! awesome. i love chocolate things too...try to pay attention to when/why you're getting those cravings. too much coffee, carbs, fats in a meal can cause sweet cravings. try to find a pattern in it. Exercising doesn't have to be an hour. 20 minutes of interval training is as effective as an hour of moderate exercise.
I am super excited to be 150.4 this morning. I applaud Maria for motivating us all to be accountable. I look forward to seeing the numbers continue to drop. I cannot remember the last time I was in the 140's. Thank you Mariafit!
omg! jenny...that's AWESOME! you'll be in the 140's by next weigh in. keep being diligent. you'll get there.
I'm holding strong at 138. I'm actually pretty proud of this being that Thursday thru Sunday was party filled. Wine, wedding cake, and more wine for 4 days in a row of parties...and I still dropped a half pound. Yippee! Just shows that 80/20 really works. Be strict 80% of the time and indulge for the other 20% and you'll stay on track.
I'm at 146.8. This week I'll continue to drink 1/2 my weight in water (it made a huge difference this week) and cut down on my sugar intake.
AWESOME! That's great Vanessa! Keep it up. Yes, the extra water and lowering your sugar will get you even closer. Try this, choose the specific times this week that you'll indulge in sugar. For instance, say, for dinner on Thursday and after lunch on Sunday I will allow myself a sweet treat. That way you have something to look forward to and it doesn't seem like you're endlessly wanting a cookie. Keep it up!
162!
You is awesome. I think you're fine tuning well. It's all about what works for you and that's what you're doing. Yayer!
Kind of stuck at 191.6lbs. Though that's down from two days ago when I was 195!
Ok... So I gained weight!!!??!! I'm now at 136.5. I did indulge during labor day weekend and had a stress filled week to follow. I find myself eating when I'm stressed and bored... which occur way too often. I did accomplish some goals this past week: I rode my longest distance ever and ran my heart out in a race. I calculated my caloric burn at 5000 during the cycling so I rewarded myself with red vines, cookies and beer, followed by 3 person portion of pad see ew. Not the smartest choice... I know.
This week I'm off from work and focused on riding as much as possible and cooking home healthy meals. And cutting out 1/2 my sugars, becoming conscious of my carbs and drinking more water.
Also, this is my week to think about my abs. I'm going to give them 15 minutes of attention each day.
I look forward to next week's weigh in!
Tessa....don't sweat it. The road to your goal weight is filled with ups and downs. I too am a stress eater...damn those sweets and carbs! You know how to set your nose to the grind and be diligent, you've done it before. I can't wait to see what you'll do.
I'm glad you rewarded yourself after your crazy experience! Congrats! Yes, one of the reasons I started this challenge was because I gained 5 lbs after my competition in August. So I guess I really wanted you guys' support as much as I want to support you!
I love your optimism...THAT'S EXACTLY the way to look at this. If the scale didn't move or went up...try something new or different the next week. That's what it's all about. Getting super stressed about it won't help. Sometimes when I stress too hard over losing, it creeps up or stays on.
Can't wait for riding tips from you! I'm scared! heeheee.
I'm down to 138.5. One pound lost since last week! yippee! My goal is to lose one more by next weigh in by adding more interval cardio to my weekly workouts, 2x this week. I will also avoid sugars! ahhhh!
