I am very excited for the hotel room workout. I am sitting in one now and the standard hotel gym is just not exciting at all.

Tessa! hey girl! I LOVE the "do what you enjoy MORE" idea. That's exactly right on point. I've been trying to cycle recently. My friend Jenny let me borrow her bike and this has been a new fun way to get outside and burn extra calories! I'm always down to try new things and I LOVE being active. If you ever need a partner - CALL ME! I'd love to hike or bike ride or whatever! I'm down!

I couldn't agree more! I love these ideas. Maria... this is fantastic!!!

I'm a post chick... and we sit on our BUTT all day. Even when you're in post, health and fitness are easy to push off until tomorrow. The hardest things is starting to do something.. anything! There is always a justifiable excuse to eat poorly or not exercise. So, how about justifying exercise and nutrition... when does that ever happen? It's all about priorities and once you decide it is important, do something about it. Some of the best advise I was told was: do what you enjoy MORE. So if you like to walk, walk more. If you like to hike, hike more. But try something new every week. If you walk - walk a different route once a week, if you love going to the gym - try the bike instead of the treadmill. Try it, so you can either add it to your regiment or cross it off the list. I get bored easily with exercise and food so I find myself walking the line between familiarity and pushing myself to being out of my comfort zone by trying new things. It seems to keep it fresh and I look forward to my new experience every week.
